Grown out of a family run tailoring business spanning more than 40 years, today we are one of the largest production facilities still located in central Istanbul. For most of our garments the full cycle of the production process is contained in-house, at the one location. Beginning with little more than 300 employees and our first export order for Calvin Klein’s classic Y-front, today we have grown to yearly exports of 18,000,000 pieces and over 1000 employees. Hamaratli have become one of the largest suppliers to the European and US markets within Turkey, producing a diverse product range across all men’s & women’s lines in jersey, sweat and knit categories. We build trusted relationships with our customers and strive to ensure all our garments arrive on time and are perfectly made. It is this attention to detail and consistent quality standard that has helped us grow into the company we are today.

HOW DO WE DO IT?

Ever wondered what goes in to the making of a garment? The creation of each garment is a well thought out process with designers, pattern makers and machinists giving our customers hand crafted and original pieces. Welcome to the world of Hamaratli...

DESIGN STUDIO H

Studio H is our design facility, conveniently located in a restored turn-of-the-century space on Istanbul's most famous street, Istiklal Cadessi. The design team travel internationally to design hubs like Tokyo, Seoul, London and New York - keeping ahead of trends and constantly offer new developments to our customers. Graphics, styling & fabric developments are our forte, visit theWorksofStudioH.com for more details & for  our most recent works.

TRIMS & SOURCING

Our sourcing department are constantly working with our suppliers to bring the best trims and accessories to the table. They visit manufacturers as well as local bazars around Istanbul in search of buttons, zippers, laces, tapes and all other accessories you can imagine. They also ensure that all items we use are up to the environmental and ethical standards we maintain, and of course suitable for the large quantity garment production we are known for.

WAREHOUSE & TESTING

The warehouse is the first port of call for our production & sampling fabrics to arrive. Before they are allocated a storage area, each fabric is tested in our laboratory for shrinkage & colour fastening to ensure they are correct and ready for the production process. After approval they are coded and stored in-house, awaiting their future as garments. Our trims are also coded and stored in the same area, waiting to be paired with the fabric in the next parts of the process.

THE PATTERN ROOM

Our experienced pattern cutters work with the design and merchandising teams to make the styles come to life. Using their skills in draping and construction, they work with the fabrics and according to our customers standard measurement blocks, make sure that the garments are the best fit each time. They also follow their samples through to production handover to ensure 1 fluid line from first sample to final product.

THE SAMPLING ROOM

We have a dedicated sampling room working separate to our main production facility who concentrate on making all offer samples and sales samples for our customers. This means our production and sampling areas do not overlap – so as to never interfere with each others timings and deadlines. The whole first sample is constructed here, from cutting and stitching to button holes and pressing.

CUTTING & USAGE

We have 1 floor dedicated to getting the best usage out of our fabrics for production. From the fabric arrives, our team works on the fabric usage to ensure that all patterns are correctly positioned for optimal efficiency. For the more delicate fabrics, patterns are printed on large plotters for manual cutting, while automated cutting machines capable of cutting  layers of fabric in a much quicker time are used for more sturdy fabrics.

PRINTING & EMBROIDERY

Directly next door to the main facility is our print and embroidery house. Here we have sampling and production facilities so we can experiment with our many techniques including foil, flock, iridescent, fluorescent, metallic, puff and high screen prints. The embroidery room has automated machines for embroidery & applique needs. For production we have 4 large 6-colour printing presses and of course our industrial heater to dry the inks.

STITCHING & FINISHING

Our stitching floor has 10 direct stitching lines, each dedicated to the production of a single garment. Every line is controlled by a manager who helps the workflow & solves any problems that may arise during the production process. Each machinest is responsible for a particular part of the garments which follows down the line to completion. Any loose threads are trimmed & garments checked for faults before being sent to be pressed.

PRESSING & PACKAGING

All finished garments arrive to the pressing department ready to be ironed or steamed. All hangtags are added and the finished product is individually packed into poly bags ready for distribution. At this stage again all items have a thorough final check for any faults or inconsistencies before they are approved and ready to be sent to the packing room.

ASSORTMENT & SHIPPING

The final stage of the process involves checking all orders and correctly boxing all size & colour sets for shipping. Once packed and labelled correctly, the boxes are transported to the warehouse ready to be loaded to the trucks. Here they begin their journey and customs clearance to the distribution warehouses of the international brands we work with.
